This two-week experience will introduce students to the processes of creating a film from start to finish.
Attendees will choose a department to study in-depth for the first three days of the camp. Each student, regardless of the department they choose to focus on, will have the chance to participate in every phase of the filmmaking process.
- Scriptwriting
- Art department
- Lighting/grip
- Camera/sound
- Post-production
After studying their chosen department, students will create production teams, with two students from each department per team. The second week of camp will be dedicated to the production of each team’s project. While other teams are producing their short films, groups will rotate between activities, including workshops on various filmmaking subjects, tours of Trilith Studios and the GFA’s facilities, and film viewings and discussions.
On Friday, July 29, we will hold a showcase of the projects created during the camp. Friends and family are welcome to join for a viewing of the short scenes and a Q&A with the campers about their experience making a short film.
Department Selection
Please select your top three department choices during the registration process.
